Peter Yu is a Los Angeles–based film editor and filmmaker known for cinematic storytelling, emotionally driven editing, and innovative sound design. Originally from Beijing and raised in New Zealand, he brings a global perspective to every project, blending traditional filmmaking with modern digital culture.
A graduate of Loyola Marymount University's MFA program in Film and Television Production, Peter has built a reputation for crafting visually striking, emotionally resonant work across narrative film, experimental cinema, and digital media. His editing philosophy centers on shaping rhythm, emotion, and audience experience—creating stories that stay with viewers long after the screen goes dark.
